5 Ways To Stay Healthy During Stressful Times

  • Breath Work – Bringing in oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide with deep breathing can help with emotional situations and moods.  Slowly inhale a deep breath, then exhale making it comfortable and feeling natural.  Do  between 8-10 times.
  • Stop the use of caffeine and stimulant drugs – They make a person anxious and jumpy which interrupt good rest, relaxation and sleep only to escalate the stress.

  • Expose Feeling – Verbalize your emotions.  Emotions suppressed are the building blocks of illness, stress, and pain.
  • Exercise – Doing a physical exercise is one of the finest ways to relieve tension and feel good, generating energy along with a healthier attitude toward life.  A 15-30 minute walk would be effective.
  • Learn Relaxation Exercises – The techniques learned would be a great benefit in lowering stress by letting go of mental stresses and undergo moments of inner peace.  Types of relaxation exercises can be yoga, massage, and meditation.
